I never really considered myself a writer, though it’s been my dream for years. Poetry throughout my life was my way to vent; and with Girl to Woman In and Out of Love, it was my little secret. Penning The Transition, I didn’t have to conform myself to this little box called writing. With my poetry, I can be as constricted or as loose as I like…free to be myself. The Inspection of Truth I dedicate to my mother Dorothy L. Smith-Henderson, who would tell me to do something with my poetry and was my biggest fan.
